NGIF ACCELERATOR WELCOMES ARC RESOURCES TO ITS INDUSTRY GRANTS PROGRAM

January 16, 2024

CALGARY (January 16, 2024): NGIF Accelerator, the not-for-profit arm of NGIF Capital, welcomes ARC Resources (“ARC”) to its Industry Grants program. ARC joins 14 leading energy companies that are participating in the Industry Grants program to improve the environmental and economic performance of Canada’s natural gas industry.

ARC is Canada’s largest pure-play Montney producer and a global leader in responsible energy development. The company is committed to continuous improvement across its business through the evaluation and application of clean technologies and investments in partnerships that drive progress.

The Industry Grants program has strong connections to every part of the gas value chain, offering startups access to key infrastructure to test and develop clean technologies through field trials and pilots. The program brings energy industry leadership to every project the grant supports, helping startups de-risk their clean technologies.

“I am excited to welcome ARC Resources to our group of natural gas companies committed to supporting technology and innovation in the sector,” said John Adams, President and CEO, NGIF Accelerator. “I am confident in the expertise of ARC Resources, and they will bring incredible value to the program.”

Through investment in the program, ARC, along with the other participating companies, will be instrumental in supporting NGIF’s position as the first cleantech innovation program in Canada that focuses on making the Canadian gas molecule the lowest carbon intensity gas molecule produced in the world.

“Our focus on innovation and the application of clean technology has enabled ARC to consistently deliver leading emissions performance. As part of our commitment to continuous improvement, we are excited to join the NGIF Accelerator Industry Grants program and support the development of new solutions to improve environmental performance and advance emissions reductions across the industry,” said Terry Anderson, President and Chief Executive Officer, ARC Resources.

“We created the Industry Grants program to help drive innovation in the natural gas value chain. I am very excited to have ARC Resources as a new participating member supporting innovation to further advance this goal,” said Timothy M. Egan, President and CEO of the Canadian Gas Association.

Other companies that support the Industry Grants program are APEX Utilities Inc., ATCO Pipelines & Liquids Global Business Unit, Birchcliff Energy Ltd., Canadian Natural Resources Limited, Cutbank Dawson Gas Resources & Diamond Gas Ltd., Enbridge Gas Inc., FortisBC Energy Inc., Pacific Northern Gas Ltd., Perpetual Energy Inc., PETRONAS Energy Canada Ltd., SaskEnergy Incorporated, Shell Canada, Tourmaline Oil Corporation, and Tidewater Renewables.
