NGIF’s Cleantech Competition for the production of natural gas is aligned with Emissions Reduction Alberta’s (ERA’s) Natural Gas Challenge. The program is seeking innovative technology solutions that reduce GHG emissions across Alberta’s natural gas value chain, including upstream, midstream, and downstream operations. As trusted partners, ERA and NGIF work together to explore opportunities to co-fund projects, to reduce the administrative burden for applicants, and to provide innovators with access to potential industry partners.
“NGIF’s trusted investment model and strategic partnerships have resulted in a strong portfolio of investments to date. We are excited to receive applications involving a range of innovative projects for Canada’s natural gas producers.”
John Adams, Managing Director, Natural Gas Innovation Fund
“Canada’s natural gas sector – from well-head to burner tip – is committed to promoting innovation and supporting cleaner technology solutions. This funding call is intended to help deliver on that commitment, with the added benefit of building cleantech companies.”
