MONTREAL, QC (JUNE 13, 2022): NGIF Capital Corporation, a Canadian venture capital firm investing fund in cleantech innovation in the natural gas sector, today announced its expansion into Quebec with a new office in Montreal. Located on Sainte-Catherine Street in the financial district, NGIF’s newest office will serve as a hub within the innovation ecosystem and help us to deepen our relationships in the province. Quebec is an important region in the cleantech landscape in Canada. The cleantech sector in the province enjoys strong support from the government with a focus on RNG, hydrogen, water tech, agriculture technology (agtech), and CCUS. Additionally, Montreal is home to a vibrant start-up ecosystem that is full of innovative cleantech companies and high-caliber entrepreneurs.

The NGIF office in Montreal will anchor the organization in the cleantech innovation and financing ecosystem of Quebec to increase profile, and access to capital, and generate deal flow. In addition, it will further develop and leverage relationships within Montreal’s world-class engineering and computer science programs within its network of post-secondary institutions.

NGIF Capital is thrilled to expand its presence into Quebec, and we look forward to partnering with key players in the cleantech ecosystem”, says John Adams, President and CEO of NGIF Capital and Managing Partner, NGIF Cleantech Ventures (pictured left above). “Isaac will provide NGIF boots on the ground in Montreal to engage directly with regional stakeholders with the objective of creating a highly engaged financing and startup ecosystem base that can be directed to NGIF Capital.”
