The Natural Gas Innovation Fund (NGIF) announces that John Adams, its Managing Director, was appointed and voted in to the Clean Resources Innovation Network (CRIN) Board of Directors, effective September 30, 2020. John Adams will serve on the CRIN Finance and Audit Committee.

“We are pleased to welcome John as a new independent director to the CRIN Board and especially value the finance, cleantech and gas experience he brings to the current Board we have in place,” said Joy Romero, Chair, CRIN. “John joins CRIN at an exciting time as we continue to deliver on our vision for Canada to be the global leader in producing clean hydrocarbons from source to end use and build on the Government of Canada’s announcement of $100 million dollars committed to CRIN from the Strategic Innovation Fund. The addition of John complements our Board of Directors’ skills and experiences, and we are confident he will provide valuable perspectives and contributions as we continue to execute on our mandate.”

“I am excited to be a part of the CRIN Board and the tremendous work that this organization puts into action. Its network of highly successful industrial and regional organizations, along with the capital it brings, expands on Canada’s innovation success story and positions the energy industry for further success through a focus on accelerated commercialization of technology and innovation,” said John Adams, NGIF Managing Director. “Clean technology and innovation are essential to make Canada’s energy sector operate with greater environmental and economic performance. Industry collaboration results in the acceleration of cleantech for the energy sector through the full value chain from concept to market by leveraging capital, resources, and sharing risk.”

“Canada’s natural gas delivery industry supports technology development as part of our commitment to affordability, innovation and environmental performance. NGIF and John Adams’ leadership are a big part of how we demonstrate that commitment. We are excited to see John have the opportunity to bring his enthusiasm and experience to the CRIN Board of Directors.”
