Overview

Cleantech Ventures Fund I is an industry led venture capital fund created to invest in cleantech startups with a value proposition for Canada’s energy sector.

Our fund’s investment thesis is focused on solutions for emissions reduction along the natural gas value chain including production, transmission, distribution, storage, and end-use applications. It also includes the expanded production of emerging gaseous fuels including renewable natural gas and hydrogen.
We target industrial innovation, carbon capture, utilization and storage, energy efficiency, fugitive emission detection, mobility, circular economy, digital transformation.

What Sets Cleantech Ventures Fund I Apart?

  • Our global network of cleantech startups, academic institutions, government partners, accelerators, co-investors, innovation parks and think tanks.
  • Market intelligence from our strategic limited partners with deep energy industry experience.
  • Due diligence leveraging our team of engineers, investment professionals, and subject matter experts.
  • Investors in our fund that are also future customers for our portfolio of startups.
