CALGARY, AB (JUNE 23, 2023): NGIF Capital, together with its program partners Tourmaline Oil Corp. (Tourmaline), Perpetual Energy, Natural Resources Canada (NRCan), and the University of Calgary (UCalgary) are excited to announce the publication of its inaugural Emissions Testing Centre program (ETC) Performance Report for 2022 – Part I.
In this report, NGIF Capital provides an overview of the components and capabilities of the ETC program and the key milestones it has achieved over the past year. This includes the program’s development, construction of the controlled and uncontrolled physical testing sites, and the intake of 11 initial program users.
“Together with our partners, Perpetual Energy, Tourmaline, Natural Resources Canada and the University of Calgary, we have created an unprecedented opportunity with this program for substantial reductions in methane emissions,” said John Adams, President, and CEO of NGIF Capital Corporation and Managing Partner of NGIF Cleantech Ventures. “Building a validation testing program with multiple cleantech startups in both a laboratory and live testing environment has never been done before and will provide the collective expertise required to move our gas industry forward with cleantech solutions,” Adams added.
We are excited by the launch of our program and the successful intake of our first cohort of program users. Adams closed with, “As the demand for Canada’s natural gas continues, we will support our industry by validating cleantech and accelerating the advance of methane mitigation solutions to market.”
